The Domino Effect
The domino effect and why it is so important to fix just one area of your life.
Scenario, you're feeling lost and lacking direction in your life. You have so many changes you want to make but when you think about all of the changes in all of the different areas of your life, it becomes over whelming.
You make to do lists, set goals and then you procrastinate on where to start. After a few weeks have gone by you haven't made any meaningful change at all.
They key when making change in your life is to start in one place, build a strong foundation there and then it will spill over into other areas of your life.
There is no better to place to start than your health and fitness. Dialing in a solid gym and training routine will teach you many lessons that are required to excel in other areas of your life like your career.
Through a training routine you will learn discipline, commitment, hard work and patience to name a few skills.
Discipline, to get up early and to train every day takes discipline, real discipline. When most start out they are full of enthusiasm and feel motivated, a few weeks later they've skipped a couple sessions and have slacked off on their diet.
A few months later and it is all but a forgotten memory. Learning to stay disciplined for long periods of time will reap massive rewards in all areas of your life.
Commitment, staying committed to your training program is going to take extreme commitment if you're wanting to see real, long lasting results.
Training even for a few months will only see short term results, it will take years to get to a high level of physical and mental performance.
Hard work, simply having a training program doesn't mean anything. Any one can buy a training program and "follow it", it takes real work if you're going to see mind blowing results and the reality is you are the only one who can do it.
Learn to work hard in the gym and you will learn to work hard in all areas of your life.
Patience, Rome wasn't built in a day and your physique or performance won't be either. You have to stay at it, complete multiple training cycles, staying focused and continuing to put in the work day in and day out, only then will you see real results.
Learn the art of macro patience and in the long run you will be ahead of every one in the 3rd quarter of the game.
The domino effect is real, embrace it. Focus on tuning up your health and fitness, learn the lessons and skills gained here and watch as they overflow into other areas of your life.
